On this day, December 11th, 1964, Che Guevara speaks at the United Nations General Assembly in New York City. During his controversial visit, Guevara had two attempts on his life, a woman with a knife; the other from two men who fired at the U.N. building. After the incident, Guevara has been quoted as saying, "It is better to be killed by a woman with a knife than a man with a gun".
